Tottenham will be aiming to take the unbeaten home run to eight games in all competitions when they take on struggling Sunderland at White Hart Lane.
After Harry Kane scored yet again to give them the lead at Crystal Palace last time out, Spurs appeared to be comfortably heading towards another victory, but a disputed penalty changed the momentum and they eventually slipped to a first Premier League defeat since November.
The result saw them fall to three points off the top four and bitter rivals Arsenal move above them in the table, but the response came on Wednesday as Tottenham came from 2-0 down to beat Burnley and book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Visiting manager Gustavo Poyet will be determined to avoid a similar outcome to when his Sunderland side last visited in April, as they took the lead before losing 5-1. However, recent form does not offer much encouragement, as the Wearsiders have won just three times in the league all season.
The latest disappointment came against Liverpool, where they delivered a tame performance and rarely looked like taking anything from the game after going behind early on. They are now just one point above the bottom three, so they must take something here.
The home side are likely to be without winger Erik Lamela and midfielder Ryan Mason, while Nabil Bentaleb is away on international duty.
Liam Bridcutt misses out for Sunderland due to suspension. There are also doubts over Lee Cattermole, Anthony Revelliere and Jack Rodwell, but Sebastien Coates is back available.
