Tottenham’s Andros Townsend confident Spurs can get into the Capital One Cup final

With Tottenham set to face Sheffield United in the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final clash, winger Andros Townsend is confident the Londoners can deliver, despite having come unstuck in the FA Cup to Leicester City, reports the Express.

Tottenham won the first leg 1-0 against the Blades at White Hart Lane, but suffered a shock FA Cup exit at home to Leicester City in between the two fixtures, which has put added pressure on the side ahead of their trip to Brammall Lane. But Townsend is confident Spurs can delvier and reach the final at Wembley.

“The character is there, everyone has seen the amount of times we’ve come back in games this season. We can pick ourselves up and go again on Wednesday and try to get to Wembley. We’ve still a lot to look forward to and hopefully we’ll bring the positivity back. That is what everyone is focused on doing and putting the FA Cup defeat behind us,” he said.
