Totttenham striker Harry Kane set to receive England call-up following Hodgson praise

Following his bright start for Tottenham, striker Harry Kane could well find himself in the England national team, after manager Roy Hodgson said the youngster has “come on leaps and bounds,” reports ESPN.

Now first choice for Tottenham, and arguably their most important player of late, Harry Kane is a shoo-in to receive a call-up for the England national team when their internationals approach. The 21-year-old forced his way into the reckoning with Spurs, and has vindicated his manager’s decision, scoring 17 goals in 25 games in all competitions.

“Harry is one of those players who didn’t exactly burst on to the scene in his club side and get straight in. He was loaned out first and sent out to different places to learn their trade. We have watched (Kane) for a while. He’s come on leaps and bounds,” said Hodgson.
