West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has ruled out the sale of striker and top scorer Saido Berahino this season, adding that no club have come in for him anyway, reports BBC
Saido Berahino has been in inspired form for the Midlands club, scoring 14 goals in 26 games in all competitions, which has seen him linked with a host of clubs this month. Liverpool are the most notable side to be interested in his services, with a £23M said to be in the offing.
“I said in the autumn that the club had no interest in selling Saido and that remains the case. If manager Tony Pulis decides otherwise, Berahino is too important to us to consider trading. I wanted to take this opportunity to clarify the position and the club’s thinking to our supporters,” said Peace.
