West Ham make second bid for Hamilton defender Stephen Hendrie

According to STV, West Ham have come in with a second bid for Hamilton left-back Stephen Hendrie, after being criticised by Hamilton vice-chairman when previous negotiations broke down.

Hendrie is highly-rated at Hamilton, and therefore the Scottish club won’t part with him for cheap. West Ham made an earlier approach, but the deal broke down. Sam Allardyce has, however, come back with a stronger bid to ensure the deal gets done this time, as he looks to build a squad to build on what has been an impressive campaign.

The 20-year-old has been a regular in the side, making 22 appearances this season, making five assists. A Scotland U21 international, Hendrie is tipped for a bright future, and West Ham have great training facilities that could turn Hendrie into a talented defender.
