Ahead of West Ham’s FA Cup third round replay against Everton, manager Sam Allardyce believes he’s tactically more flexible than that of his counterpart Roberto Martinez, reports BBC
With Everton greatly struggling in the Premier League without altering too much of their style and philosophy of last season, while West Ham are currently flourishing following a complete revamp of tactics, Allardyce believes he’s Martinez is a more stubborn boss when it comes to his tactics.
“I’m a little bit more flexible than Roberto – he is a total believer in one style. You become flexible as time goes on. Flexibility teaches you that you have a philosophy in the way you want to play, but if that way of playing doesn’t suit the players you cannot keep that philosophy,” he said.
