Wigan reject bid from West Brom for Callum McManaman

According to Sky Sports, Wigan Athletic have turned down an improved bid of £3.5M from West Brom for winger Callum McManaman.

Following West Brom’s goalless draw away to Everton, new Albion head coach admitted he was after “three or four players” in the January window.

He added: “You put them in and see what the clubs want. It’s not just (McManaman), there’s other people we’ve asked and enquired about. Then we’ll take a view about value for money and what is right for us.”

But Wigan Athletic are adamant on keeping the talented 23-year-old unless the Midlands club meet their asking price for McManaman. His contract runs until 2017, so the Latics aren’t in any immediate rush to sell, and they’ve already turned down a previous bid.
