Arsenal are lining up a summer move for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, who has struggled with the Italian champions this season, the Metro
The Spaniard has only scored four goals in 19 games this season, and Juventus would reportedly be willing to let him leave in the summer, particularly with fellow striker – and former Arsenal target – Alvaro Morata in impressive form for the Serie A leaders.
Llorente’s contract still has two and-a-half years left to run, but Arsenal may be able to sign him on the cheap, while they would be willing to pay his £63,000 per week wages. He has been at Juventus since they won the race to sign him in the summer of 2013, going on to score 23 goals in 72 appearances in all competitions.
Should he join Arsenal, he would add to the significant competition for places at the North London club, with Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud and youngster Chuba Akpom all in the reckoning, while Joel Campbell will be back from a loan spell.
