Arsenal will be determined to bounce back from North London derby disappointment when they take on bottom of the table Leicester City on Tuesday evening.
It was a frustrating way for a fine run of form to end for Arsenal as they became the latest team to suffer at the hands of the irresistible Harry Kane, failing to build on an early lead given to them by Mesut Ozil, who has been in tremendous form since returning from injury.
The result at White Hart Lane was a setback in their attempts to make the top four, but the focus will now be to begin another winning run. The Gunners can expect to see plenty of the ball in this one, and should they not grab an early goal, patience could key to ensuring they take the three points.
Another important game passed Leicester by at the weekend as they slid to defeat against Crystal Palace, a result which severely dents their prospects of staying in the Premier League; even if performances have offered some encouragement. But they created few clear chances, and conceded a soft goal.
The back four must be on their game here in order to avoid a heavy defeat. Should they be made to suffer, it will only increase the growing speculation regarding the future of manager Nigel Pearson, who was the subject of widespread rumours on Sunday that he may lose his job.
The home side are without Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while they are unsure when Jack Wilshere will be fit enough to make his comeback from injury. On a more positive not, Alexis Sanchez is back.
Matthew Upson is in contention to make his long-awaited first appearance for Leicester, but lacks match fitness. Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and striker Chris Wood remain absent, although Robert Huth is back from suspension and could also make his debut.
