Chelsea winger Willian scored in the last minute of normal time to pile misery onto Everton, while ensuring the Londoners maintained their lead at the summit, reports BBC
It was an even game for the large park, with Everton happy to allow Chelsea possession in the first-half. The Toffees maintained their shape and looked to hit the Premier League leaders on the break, with Romelu Lukaku forcing a low save from Chelsea goalkeeper Peter Cech after a swift count.
At the other end, Everton shot-stopper Tim Howard made a great save from a point blank Loic Remy head. As a result, the game remained goalless at the break.
In the second-half, chances came and went. Lukaku was stunned to see his close range effort saved by Petr Cech , when the Belgian looked to have put Everton in front, and the chance came back to haunt him.
Chelsea already had a goal disallowed for offside in the second-half, following a deflected Nemanja Matic effort, but Willian’s deflected shot from the edge of the box was enough to earn the Blues all three points.
