New Chelsea signing Juan Cuadrado has revealed he is eyeing the Premier League title now he has finally completed his move to England, ESPN are reporting.
The transfer of the Colombian from Fiorentina to Chelsea was on and off at many different stages throughout the final week of the transfer window but with German side Wolfsburg finally agreeing to sign Andre Schurrle, the Blues had the funds to complete their swoop.
Cuadrado has been unable to contain his excitement at the move to the league leaders and while he has claimed they are good enough to win the Champions League this season has revealed his main goal is to help his new side land the Premier League crown.
“We are a big club, so winning important things,” the player said when asked about his ambitions.
“Playing for this team, the league championship is I think the most important thing. As for everything else, Chelsea have big players so we want to win big things.”
The player described his move to West London as a “dream” and could not wait to start working for new manager Jose Mourinho – in his opinion one of the best coaches in the world.
He added: “I’m very proud to be playing for him and I think he is going to help me grow into a better player.”
The Colombian international was one of the big South American stars at last summer’s World Cup and was even linked with a move to Barcelona in the wake of the tournament.
