Everton manager Roberto Martinez says new-boy Aaron Lennon will be in the squad for Merseyside derby

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed deadline day signing Aaron Lennon will make the squad for their weekend Merseyside derby against Liverpool, reports Liverpool.

Lennon joined Everton on loan from Tottenham on transfer deadline day until the end of the season, with the Toffees looking to bolster their attacking options to ensure they can register more wins in the second-half of the campaign to climb the table.

Manager Roberto Martinez is a keen admirer of the England international, and believes he can help Everton finish strongly in the top-half of the table come May. The Spanish coach has said Lennon will make the squad for Saturday, while praising how little time it’s taken for his to adjust to their training schedules.

Lennon is hoping his time with Everton could see him back in the reckoning with Tottenham in the summer, and he’ll get the first chance to prove himself this weekend.
