Man City midfielder Nasri poised to return from injury

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is set to return to the team for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Hull City after returning to training following a groin injury, the Daily Mail has reported.

The Frenchman has not featured for the Premier League champions since January 10, when he was replaced late on in the 1-1 draw away to Everton. Man City have not won any of their three games since, losing 2-0 at home to both Arsenal and Championship high-flyers Middlesbrough before drawing 1-1 at title rivals Chelsea at the weekend.

Nasri will hope to be involved against Hull, with City still without midfielder Yaya Toure and new signing Wilfried Bony due to their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations. He was in good form before his injury, starring in a run of 11 wins in 12 games between November and January.

It is also a boost for City ahead of a busy few weeks, with two Premier League games coming up in the space of five days, while the return of the Champions League is also on the horizon later in February as they take on Barcelona in the round of 16.
