Manchester United midfielder Anderson is expected to complete a move on Monday to return to his native Brazil and join Internacional, according to the Daily
The two clubs have been in talks in the last week with the player’s representatives over the possibility of cancelling his contract, which is due to expire at the end of the season. Internacional want Anderson to play in the Copa Libertadores, and are believed to offered him a deal worth £25,000 per week and a £650,000 annual bonus.
The 26-year-old is now expected to undergo a medical in Porto Alegre on Monday before being formally unveiled as an Internacional player on Tuesday. Man Utd are happy to allow Anderson to leave, as he has been surplus to requirements over much of the past two seasons.
He moved to Old Trafford from FC Porto in the summer of 2007 in a deal worth £26m, but despite being part of a side that won several major trophies, he has disappointed throughout much of those seven and-a-half years. Overall, Anderson has made 181 appearances for United in all competitions and scored nine goals.
