Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris believes the hard work undertaken by the squad has been the reason for their success this season, reports Sky
Managed by Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham are currently on course to challenge for a top-four place, and have earned impressive wins over Chelsea and Arsenal this season too. The Londoners for too long have been on the periphery of European qualification, and they have genuine hope and belief they can make it with a squad arguably weaker than the sides around them.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has said their impressive season is tribute to the hard work done on the training ground, as well as fully buying into the manager’s philosophy. Tottenham face Liverpool next, and a win could put them on the cusp of a top-four place. The French shot-stopper believes teamwork can get them over the line.
Many have noticed the improve fitness of the Lilywhites as the season has unfolded, and such teamwork and spirit is something the players have been focusing on.
“The season is very, very long and, of course, there are some dips in the season because of performance and results. But I think the key is to work hard every day and that is a great working mentality in the team. We try to do what the manager expects and after we try to do our best on the pitch. It is more than individual performances – I think we try to improve in our team performance,” said Lloris.
