Brown Ideye continued his scoring form, with a brace against West Ham in the FA Cup fifth round at the Hawthorns. The Baggies eventually ran out 4-0 winners, reports BBC
West Brom took the lead in the 20th minute through the record signing. Ideye opened the scoring with a close range effort converting Craig Dawson’s cross.
Albion were 2-0 up minutes before half-time, with midfielder James Morrison stealing the ball from West Ham’s Mark Noble, before firing the ball into the back of the net.
Tony Pulis’ men kept their foot on the gas in the second-half, and found a third goal through the in-form Ideye. Stephane Sessegnon whipped in a cross that was well met by the West Brom striker, putting the game beyond doubt near the hour mark.
Saido Berahino got himself in the scoresheet midway through the second-half to complete a thrashing for the Midlands outfit, while booking West Brom’s place in the FA Cup quarter-finals as a result.
West Ham ended the game with 10-men, after Morgan Amalfitano sent off in the second-half, which capped a miserable performance at the Hawthorns.
