Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind struck late against West Ham, as the Red Devils rescued a point from the jaws of defeat, reports BBC Sport.
West Ham started strongly from the kickoff, taking the game to their opponents and coming close to scoring early on through Enner Valencia, who saw his two early efforts saved by Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
The away side could consider themselves incredibly lucky to have gone into the break level, as they were behind for the majority of the 45 minutes.
In the second-half, it was West Ham once again who showed the most promise, and their endeavour finally paid dividends. Cheikhou Kouyate scored a brilliant individual effort to put the Londoners deservedly into the lead early after the break.
After going behind, Manchester United stepped up their pressure in pursuit of an equaliser, but just couldn’t find the breakthrough. Marouane Fellaini’s introduction saw the Red Devils adopt a more direct style, which eventually saw Daley Blind volley a West Ham clearances into the back of the net late on to earn a point.
