Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Debuchy are almost ready to return to the Arsenal set-up after injury, ESPN
Arteta, Diaby, Wilshere and Debuchy were part of the Arsenal XI that beat the Championship’s representatives 4-0, Wilshere scoring before he was replaced at half-time. Arteta and Diaby were both also given 45 minutes, while former Newcastle United full-back Debuchy played an hour.
Wilshere has been missing from action since November due to an ankle injury, while Debuchy dislocated his shoulder in January. Arteta’s last involvement, meanwhile, also came in November, in the Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund whereas Diaby has been absent since September, when he played 67 minutes of the Gunners’ Capital One Cup defeat to Southampton. It is the 28-year-old’s only run-out for the Arsenal first team so far this season.
Diaby moved to Arsenal from Auxerre in 2006, while Wilshere is a product of the club’s youth academy, Arteta was signed from Everton in 2011, and Debuchy was bought from the Magpies in the summer of 2014.
