Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes finishing second in the Premier League this season would be real progress, and proof the club are going the right way under manager Arsene Wenger, reports ESPN.
“Finishing second probably is progression from last season definitely and from a couple of seasons where we have been battling for fourth. We’re in another FA Cup final so maybe you can say that’s an improvement on last season,” Ramsey said.
Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger have been criticised throughout the season for their premature exits in the Capital One Cup and Champions League, while having endured a slow start to the Premier League season. But they could finish second in the table and have an FA Cup final against Aston Villa to play, so their campaign could really end on a high. Few could argue that the Londoners are going forward, with the trophies coming thick and fast as Wenger had promised once they had settled their finances.
