Paulo Dybala’s representative has revealed Chelsea have made a bid for the young striker, but stressed that a lot of clubs are looking to sign the coveted Argentine this summer, which had led to talks being held with a host of European clubs over the course of the season, reports Sky
Chelsea have been eyeing up some more attacking options, as they have suffered from injury problems with Diego Costa and Loic Remy. Their third striker Didier Drogba is in the eve of his career, while Remy will turn 29 next season, so manager Jose Mourinho is looking for new attacking players to bolster the sides to challenge on all four fronts next season.
Dybala is a player they are very keen on signing, given the youngster’s impressive scoring antics in the Italian Serie A. The Argentine, 21, has scored 13 goals in 29 games for Palermo this season, and has attracted the likes of Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid this summer, according to his representatives.
“Myself, (his other agent Pierpaolo) Triulzi and (Palermo president Maurizio) Zamparini are working in sync. Afterwards it will be seen. Now I am in Madrid. On Wednesday I was in Paris. During these days I am undertaking many interviews for Dybala.”
“Triulzi is moving between Paris and London to listen to offers and afterwards he will assess them with me. The two of us are working in harmony with Zamparini to reach an agreement. Afterwards Dybala will decide.”
And with Palermo’s president revealed the club will sell the talented striker in the summer, a host of European clubs are fighting it out to sign him.
“Zamparini is asking for €40m and it seems to me like a fair price. Chelsea presented an offer a while ago, but it was very low.”
