Inter are set to make a bid to sign Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic on loan with the option of making the deal permanent for a fee of £12m, according to the Daily
This latest move from the Italian side comes amid their interest in Yaya Toure, which has been spoken of publically by boss Roberto Mancini, who brought the Ivorian to City in 2010 and would like a reunion.
Man City would prefer cash up front for Jovetic rather than a loan deal, as the money they gain from the sale of the Montenegro international would go towards their summer spending due to Financial Fair Play regulations. Alvaro Negredo is already away on loan from the Premier League champions and is set to join Valencia permanently in the summer.
Jovetic was signed by Man City for £22m from Fiorentina in the summer of 2013, but a combination of injury and the form of his fellow strikers has limited him to just 39 appearances in all competitions.
Indeed, he has fallen increasingly out of favour as this season has worn on, and his days at the Etihad Stadium have looked numbered since being omitted from City’s Champions League squad in February; a decision met with fury by the player himself.
