Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini could well find himself still at the helm of the Sky Blues for next season, as the Premier League holders don’t have any better candidates lined up to replace the Chilean, with their most coveted targets still in jobs, reports the Express.
There are many ageing players in the team that will need eventual replacing, so it’s a big job at hand for whoever is in charge. And while City wanted the likes of Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola, or Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti in charge for 2015/16, they may have to contend with Pellegrini until their first-choices becoming available.
Reports suggest the Manchester City hierarchy are still keen to keep the Chilean coach in charge, and could lead the side out next season as a result regardless of how they finish.
