Romelu Lukaku has made Mino Raiola his newest representative, who has recent said his new client is a better striker than Chelsea’s Diego Costa, while suggesting he will look to move him on to a bigger club, reports Sky
The Belgium striker has endured a bittersweet season at Goodison Park, but has still scored 18 goals in 39 games in all competitions. However, Everton have been in the bottom-half of the Premier League for the majority of the campaign, and he’s looked to make changes to his representatives by bringing Mino Raiola, who represents a lot of big names in the game – Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Balotelli.
His newest agent has wasted little time talking up his newest client too, suggesting that Lukaku is a better player than Chelsea’s Diego Costa, who was brought in at Stamford Bridge using the money made from Lukaku’s sale to Everton. Raiola believes the Belgian international would be playing for a bigger club had he represented the striker earlier in his career, and rates him as one of the best strikers in Europe, let alone as Chelsea’s best forward, despite them having sold him.
“If we had met each other earlier, he wouldn’t have played for Everton. Maybe somewhere else, maybe he would still be at Chelsea. I want to be clear: Romelu is a better striker than Diego Costa and could have done the same as the Spaniard did this season,” he said.
“Later on, he’ll play for one of world’s best teams: PSG, Manchester City, Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Big names, but nothing is impossible as Rom has great potential. We will see what happens in the summer, but the Everton directors don’t have to think Rom will play there for the rest of his career.”
