West Ham United are to join Tottenham in the race to sign Everton forward Kevin Mirallas when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season, according to the Daily
Mirallas was originally courted by Spurs in January, seeing an approach knocked back by the Toffees. They are set to revive their interest in the summer, with manager Mauricio Pochettino looking to add more pace to his side in attacking areas.
The Belgian would add to the already significant competition for places at White Hart Lane, with Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Nacer Chadli and Andros Townsend all vying to play as one of the three behind the lone striker.
The Hammers are keen to invest further in attack this summer, with Andy Carroll continuing to suffer with injury on a regular basis. As Enner Valencia has also been sidelined, they have left with only Diafra Sakho and Carlton Cole as their only striking options.
Mirallas has stated already this year that he may look to leave Merseyside for ‘a new challenge’ after this season, having spent three years at Everton since joining from Olympiakos in the summer of 2012.
One of David Moyes’ final signings as manager, he has impressed throughout his time at Everton, scoring 26 goals in 99 appearances in all competitions.
