Arsenal are said to be closing in on the £10m signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech and could wrap the deal up in a matter of days, according to the Daily
The two clubs are said to be close to reaching an agreement and a move should be given the go ahead in the next couple of days.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho didn’t want to let him make the move to north London, but Cech had reiterated his desire to stay in the city in order not to unsettle his young family.
However, Cech is also keen to join the Gunners after Arsene Wenger promised that he would be his first choice stopper.
That could spell the end of the line for Colombian David Ospina, who is now likely to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce in a £4m deal.
Ospina only joined the Gunners last summer from French side Nice, and made the number one jersey his own in the second half of the campaign.
However, he hasn’t done enough to keep it and will be replaced by the 33-year-old Czech international.
