The agent of Italian international forward Stephan El Shaarawy has claimed that his client would be open to an exit from AC Milan this summer, thus giving Arsenal a boost in the race for his signature, according to the Metro.
Manuel El Shaarawy, who is not only Stephan’s agent but his brother too, has claimed that there is a lot of interest in the Milan star’s signature and that a move could definitely be on the cards.
Arsenal have reportedly been on the 22-year-old’s trail for the better part of two years, but now finally may get a chance to grab their man after a season of struggle at the San Siro.
“Let’s see what happens with the team this summer, the transfer campaign seems a bit different from recent years,” he told the Express.
“A move for El Shaarway? There have been several teams interested, Stephan is a player who lots of teams like.
“There were several offers, both in January and now in the summer, offers which we looked at.
“We can’t rule anything out, the transfer market is always the transfer market.”
After joining the Milanese giants in 2011, he enjoyed a particularly strong campaign a year later, bagging himself 19 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.
However, since then he has struggled with injury, and has seen his contribution limited, and may look to move on in the summer to try and resurrect his career.
