Sources in Spain are claiming that the Gunners are willing to cough up around £28.4m for the Gabonese international, and surprisingly, Dortmund have opened the door for a surprise exit.

Aubameyang was one of the deadliest strikers in the Bundesliga last season, bagging 16 goals in 33 league appearances, and is undoubtedly one of the club’s most prized assists.

However, the club have surprisingly been open to letting him go this summer, despite undergoing a rebuilding project under new coach Thomas Tuchel.

But Wenger is determined to bring the striker on board in the coming weeks, as he seeks more options to add to his forward line.

Aubameyang’s pace, power, and finishing ability single him out as the ideal alternative to French international Olivier Giroud.
