Arsenal have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as Arsene Wenger tries to build on a promising season for the Gunners.

The Telegraph have reported that the 33-year-old is keen to leave the French capital, and with just a year left on his contract at Parc des Princes, the Ligue 1 champions may be forced to sell.
The Metro have previously suggested that the striker would be available for as little as £10.9m – which surely still represents a bargain despite his age – which apparently was attracting Brendan Rodgers’ interest.
However, The Telegraph’s report would suggests that they will have to battle it out with their Premier League rivals for his signature, as Wenger continues to monitor the situation.
Although the Daily Mail reported last week that the Gunners pulled out of the race to sign one of their key targets, Morgan Schneiderlin, as they did not feel their squad needed £25m worth of strengthening, this may represent the kind of bargain that gets the Emirates side to open the chequebook.
Ibrahimovic has maintained an incredible knack for finding the back of the net wherever he has gone, even as age has crept up on him. This year, he has scored 19 times in 24 games in the top flight, and helped his side to the domestic treble.
And while Olivier Giroud was in excellent goalscoring form when he was fit, and Theo Walcott proved his value on the final day of the season, signing the super Swede may add that final bit of quality that turns Arsenal from top four contenders to title winners.
