Arsenal have apparently opened talks with Napoli striker Gonzalo Higauin about the possibility of a summer transfer, according to the Metro.

The Argentine international has reportedly failed to settle into life in Italy and could now be ready to move on during the transfer window, with the Gunners said to be lying in wait to pounce for his signature.
Premier League rivals Manchester United are also credited with an interest, but the Gunners have made the first move by opening talks with the player as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his forward line ahead of next season.
The news was broken by popular Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, who has been providing updates on Higuain’s situation at the San Paolo recently.

The Serie A giants are willing to part with the striker, but any interested party will need to stump up £42m to secure his services.
Higuain has bagged 28 goals in 51 appearances this season, and would certainly provide a much more prolific option than either Danny Welbeck or Olivier Giroud.
