Chelsea are said to have entered the race to sign in-demand Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer and will cough up £30m to prize him away from the San Paolo, according to the Daily

Premier League rivals Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all said to be keen on landing his signature, but reports in Italy are now claiming that Chelsea have also entered the race.
Italian site Calcio Mercato Web say that The Blues have identified the Argentine international as the ideal man to replace veteran hit man Didier Drogba, who is being tipped to move on himself this summer.
Jose Mourinho has previously worked with the 27-year-old when he was in charge at Real Madrid, before allowing him to link up with Napoli in 2013.
However, with Rafa Benitez set to leave to take up the Real Madrid job in the very near future, the status of a number of Napoli’s top players has been cast into doubt.
And with the club finishing in fifth in the Italian league table, and thus missing out on Champions League football next term, Chelsea feel that a £30m offer could be enough to bring him to England.
