A lot was expected of Paulinho when he signed from Corinthians – following his 20 goals in 86 Brasileirao appearances for the Sao Paulo club, Spurs thought they had a real goalscoring midfielder on their books.
However, it didn’t turn out that way and he now looks to be heading for China after losing his place entirely in the Spurs side.
Unfortunately for Carragher, though, his failure comes carrying an embarrassing fore fit.
The ex-Liverpool star and current Sky Sports pundit believed that Paulinho would prove himself to be a 15-goal a season star for the Londoners. Paulinho, though, only managed six goals in a total of 45 appearances for Tottenham, and Gary Neville revealed that a bet made with his former adversary now means Carragher will be forced to wear a Manchester United shirt.
