Here is Monday’s news and gossip concerning Liverpool:
Nathaniel Clyne will have a medical today ahead of completing his £12.5m move to Liverpool, the Daily Mirror report.
The full-back will sign a five-year deal at Anfield.
The agent of Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour has confirmed that Liverpool are one of several clubs keen on signing the 25-year-old, the Daily Express reveal.
When asked if Barcelona were keen, Abdelkader Jilani responded, “They are one of the interested parties, like Milan, Inter, Juventus and Liverpool.”
The two defenders could be joined at Anfield next season by Fiorentina’s Mario Gomez, the Daily Express report.
The 29-year-old has not had the best time in Italy, and reportedly wants to leave the club this summer.
The former Bayern man is attracting Brendan Rodgers’ attention after the club decided to pull out of negotiations for Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca, according to The Independent.
However, The Independent report that the move has been taken in the hope that they may still be able to sort out a deal for Christian Benteke.
Finally, Fabio Borini appears to be on his way out of Anfield, with The Sun reporting that an £8m move has been agreed with West Ham.
