Manchester City have once again turned their attentions towards Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere and are thought to be preparing a £30m raid for the England midfielder, according to the Metro.
Having already made a £40m move for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling, which was turned down by the Reds earlier this week, City are keen to rekindle their interest in Wilshere, and will open negotiations with an initial £30m offer.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini is said to have been briefed to add to the club’s home grown quota having recently lost Frank Lampard, James Milner, Micah Richards and Scott Sinclair recently.
Wilshere has hit the headlines again this week. After scoring a stunning brace to come to England’s rescue in their Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia on Sunday, he was brought back down to earth with a £40,000 fine for swearing during Arsenal’s FA Cup parade last month.
