United to move for Mandzukic
The 27-year-old Dutchman is about the enter the final year of his contract in the French capital, though Serie A giants Roma are also believed to be keeping an eye on his situation.
The news could come as a boost to the Red Devils, who missed out on original target Dani Alves on Tuesday when he performed a surprising U-turn to extend his stay with Barcelona.
Van der Weil made his name with Eredivise giants Ajax, and linked up with the Ligue 1 side in 2012 for just €6m, as part of the club’s revolutionary rebuilding.
And since linking up with PSG, he has gone on to make a total of 104 appearances, scoring three goals in the process.
He is a regular call up to the Dutch national side, but injury ruled him out of the 2014 World Cup.
