Manchester United are reportedly ready to bring fan favourite Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club from Real Madrid this summer as he ponders what the future holds for him in the Spanish capital, according to the Metro.
Ronaldo’s future has come under scrutiny recently, following claims that new boss Rafael Benitez is set to place more precedence on the club’s other flying winger Gareth Bale, thus threatening the Portuguese’s place in the team.
Reports in Italy are now claiming that Ronaldo is still uncertain over what to do, claiming that his relationship with the former Liverpool boss has become strained.
Ronaldo has bagged a phenomenal 225 goals in 200 games since linking up with Real back in 2009, but because he has now reached 30, the Spaniards are wary of relying on him too much in the future.
And because of that, United are reportedly willing to part with £66.5m in order to bring him back.
