According to The Sun, the 22-year-old only signed a new deal in March, that will run until 2020, seemingly confirming his desire to remain in the Italian capital despite a lot of interest from varying European clubs.
Nevertheless, van Gaal is still hoping to tempt the former Santos man to Old Trafford, to become a part of his revolution at the Premier League side.
Anderson was in fantastic form for Stefano Pioli’s team last season. He scored ten goals, and created another seven for his teammates during his 32 appearances in the top flight, as Lazio went on to claim a place in next year’s Champions League following a third place in Serie A. They would also go on to reach the Coppa Italia, where they would ultimately come up short against Juventus.
The playmaker’s efforts also saw him handed his international debut just before the start of the Copa America, as he was included in Brazil’s standby list ahead of the competition.
