Former United striker Dwight Yorke believes that Louis van Gaal needs to do everything in his power to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League this summer, according to The Sun.
Yorke explained that when the winger is on form, he is one of the best players in the world.
“That’s why Madrid paid all the money for him. If I was signing one player for United this summer, it would be him,” he said.
One marquee name already through the Old Trafford door has been slated before he has even kicked a ball for his new club.
The Daily Mirror report that both Southampton manager Ronald Koeman and Dutch scout Henk Grim have criticised both the quality and attitude of Memphis Depay.
“It was absolutely disgusting, the foul language that boy used towards his fellow players and towards people in the crowd,” Grim explained after watching the winger when he was a youngster.
Depay could soon be joined at Manchester United by Bayern Munich legend Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to the Daily Mirror.
And with just a year left to run on his current contract, the deal could be completed for the seemingly bargain price of just £7.5m, the Mirror report.
Meanwhile, David De Gea’s departure now seems imminent as the Daily Mail report that he has told his teammates that he wishes to leave the club this summer.
Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to make an opening offer of just £13m for the goalkeeper.
Finally, the Daily Star have suggested that Jerome Boateng will turn down the opportunity to move to Old Trafford, because of his girlfriend.
According to the Star, the mother of his children was so unhappy in the city when the German previously played for Manchester City, that she may reportedly do her best to persuade the World Cup winner against a return.
