Chelsea will send three players to Monaco as part of the deal that will see Radamel Falcao move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the Daily Mirror, Jose Mourinho will have the final say on which players move to the Ligue 1 side, although it is believed that the trio will consist of young members of the squad.
The Mirror suggest that the swap will mean that the Premier League champions will not have to pay a fee for the Colombian forward, who cost Manchester United £16m when he moved to Old Trafford on loan last year (via the Guardian).
While Ruben Loftus-Cheek is unlikely to be among the trio, based on Mourinho giving him a chance towards the end of last season, the Mirror do suggest that striker Isaiah Brown, holding midfielder Nathan Ake, and full-back Andreas Christensen could be among the names.
And Mourinho may be forced to make his decision quickly, as Colombia’s recent exit from the Copa America means that Falcao’s Premier League return could be completed imminently. However, with a title defence to think about, the manager will be hoping that he does not get the forward that looked bereft of confidence last season, otherwise he may rue the decision to send some of his squad away for 12 months.
