According to The Telegraph, Benitez – who was unveiled as another ex-Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement last week – has made Eden Hazard and Diego Costa two of his main targets for this window.

While The Telegraph report that the Belgian magician signed a long-term deal in February, and so may be more difficult to entice, The Sun revealed that pals of Costa believe he is unhappy in London, wanted a move back to Atletico Madrid.

Both players would be a massive loss that would severely damage Jose Mourinho’s hopes of retaining the Premier League title. Hazard claimed the PFA Player of the Year award, and Costa was the club’s top goalscorer, and was in irresistible form in the opening months of the campaign.
