With Sterling having already rejected a new offer of £100,000-per-week, his agent, Aidy Ward, has already intimated that he would not be staying, even if he were offered £900k-a-week.
And though he still has two-years remaining on his current deal, fresh contract talks have been put on hold as the Reds consider cashing in on his signature.
Madrid are set to announce Rafa Benitez as their new manager this week, and the former Anfield boss is believed to be keen on prizing him away from Merseyside.
