Rising Bundesliga star issues Chelsea a come-and-get-me plea

Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger is apparently keen on a move to Chelsea this summer, according to the Metro.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen on bolstering his centre-back options, as he continues to look for a long term replacement for veteran skipper John Terry, and he believes that the 22-year-old is the ideal man for the job.

The Germany international is billed as one of the hottest prospects in the Bundesliga, notching up 60 appearances for Stuttgart since making the switch from Borussia Dortmund back in 2011.

Brother and agent, Sahr Senesie, told German daily tabloid Bild that Rudiger is already plotting his next move, and has placed a move to the Premier League champions at the top of his priorities.

Wolfsburg and Portuguese giants Porto are also believed to interested, but may not be able to compete with the Blues’ financial clout.

Both Toby Alderweireld and Raphael Varane have also been linked with moved to Stamford Bridge, as fans can probably expect at least one new defensive reinforcement coming in over the summer.
