Former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho has today sealed his White Hart Lane exit after Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande signed the Brazilian for £9.8m.
According to The Sun, Spurs have made a £7m loss on the 26-year-old, having signed the former Corinthians man two years ago.
In his first season in England, Paulinho made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals, and showing signs that he may prove to be an astute buy.
However, this campaign has been a completely different story. He appears to have fallen out of favour with new manager Mauricio Pochettino, with only three of his 15 appearances in the top flight coming from the start. He also had no goals or assists to speak of in the season.
The signings come shortly after former West Ham, Newcastle, and Chelsea striker Demba Ba also moved to the Chinese Super League, having joined Shanghai Shenhua (via the Guardian) for around £11m, despite West Brom offering the 30-year-old the chance to return to the Premier League.
