Arsenal told to pay £40m for Brahimi
An incredible result on Wednesday this week saw the USA overcome Germany by a score of 2-1 in friendly, as the defending world champions continue to struggle following their coronation.
The USA, however, were in heaven, having beaten the Netherlands just a few days earlier, 4-3, representing a big turn around in fortunes for them after several years of drudgery under the guidance of Jurgen Klinsmann.
There were a number of talking points during the game on Wednesday, but none more so than Yedlin’s leveller on his Arsenal counterpart.
As Ozil cut through the USA midfield, the young full-back saw his opportunity to bring the Gunners star down with a powerfully late challenge, which earned him a booking.
Whether it was intended or not, it will surely stoke the fires ahead of the new season, as neither player will forget about this.
