Real Madrid’s Isco is a player in very high demand this summer. The midfielder is now wanted by all of the Premier League’s top three from last season, after Arsenal became the latest club interested in his signature, according to the Daily
The Express report that the Gunners may have to beat off competition from both Chelsea and Manchester City if they wish to sign the 23-year-old, who is also attracting interest from Serie A champions Juventus.
The Spanish giants are happy to sell the attacking midfielder – as long as they receive an offer of at least £35m – as they want to use the money to help them secure the signing of another Arsenal target Marco Reus (via Express).
The Spaniard has gone under the radar at the Bernabeu as players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale continue to hog the headlines. And while he has failed to produce the kind of returns that both the former pair have managed, he did manage four goals and nine assists in La Liga last season.
Arsene Wenger has seemingly adopted a new policy during the last couple of windows, bringing in both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez from the Spanish top flight. While both enjoyed success at their respective clubs before their Emirates switch, they seemed underrated due to the star names they were competing with.
Since they moved to the Premier League however, they have shone. If Isco is given an opportunity to step out of the shadows, he could have a similar impact.
