The Gunners’ £31.3m bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is likely to be accepted, according to the Metro.

Los Blancos had been expected to turn the offer down, but have decided that that money may help them buy Marco Reus.


One of Benzema’s former teammates will not be moving to north London however, as the Daily Star report that Gonzalo Higuain is no longer on Arsene Wenger’s radar.

The Frenchman is not willing to trigger the £69.5m release clause in his contract.
