Aston Villa are expected to complete a triple swoop this week for strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Rudy Gestede as well as wrapping up a deal for Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout.
Villa have been linked with a loan move for the Tottenham forward and he was even spotted at the club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground earlier in the week (via Sky
And now respected journalist Simon Austin believes that the deal could even be sealed by the end of the day on Thursday as Villa have apparently agreed to stump up his full £100,000-per-week wages.
Adebayor move to #avfc should go through today. Medical done & personal terms agreed I'm told. £100k/wk & Villa picking up full tab

Adebayor is said to be joined at the club’s training ground by Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout. Villa had made an £8m bid for the 21-year-old, which was later topped by Leicester’s £9m bid. This prompted Nantes owner Waldemar Kita to warn the club to stop haggling and complete the deal before he changed his mind (via Daily Mail).
However, French sources have confirmed on Twitter that the midfielder is also at Bodymoor Heath undergoing his own medical.

And finally, in an attempt to fill the void left not only by Christian Benteke but Darren Bent and Andi Weimann, the club are on the verge of completing a £7m move for Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede (via Birmingham Mail).
The Mail reports that the Blackburn front man was in Birmingham over the weekend for talks, which have continued this week as an agreement edges even closer.
Should the deals all go through, it would represent a huge turnaround from the skinflint days of when Paul Lambert was in charge.
