Liverpool could be set to sell one of their first-team players to Barcelona for the second year running, with Alberto Moreno being touted to possibly follow in the footsteps of Luis Suarez.
According to the Daily
Moreno had a mixed first season at Anfield, following his move from Sevilla last summer. He showed some glimpses of brilliance – including a stunning goal against Tottenham in only his second game for the club – but left his teammates vulnerable at the back, as his runs forward often left them outnumbered.
And it appears that Brendan Rodgers has already made the kind of plans that would allow the Spaniard to return to La Liga.
The Star suggest that the Reds are currently holding talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible deal for Lucas Digne.
With Joe Gomez proving in pre-season that he is able to fill the void if required, perhaps a deal for Digne may pave the way for Moreno to complete a move to the Nou Camp.
