Chelsea defender set to join Premier League rivals

Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake looks to be heading out of the club on loan as the likes of Newcastle, Leicester and Watford all do battle to land his signature this summer, according to the Daily Express.

The Premier League trio are all keen to take him away from Stamford Bridge on a season long loan after learning that he wants the opportunity to move on following the club’s recent bid for Everton stopper John Stones.

He now feels disillusioned at life under Jose Mourinho, and believes that his path to first team football will be blocked by the manager’s recent transfer activities.

Ake spent time on loan with Championship club Reading last season, where he made five appearances, and it is thought that Chelsea would be willing to listen to offers for his services, albeit only on a short term basis.

Ake arrived at Stamford Bridge from Dutch giants Feyenoord where he spent the 2011/12 season in the youth squad, before making the step up to the senior team to make a handful of appearances.
