Delph Manchester City: Midfielder makes alleged U-turn to sign from Villa

The deal taking Fabian Delph from Aston Villa to Manchester City could be back on after he was allegedly spotted entering the same hospital that Raheem Sterling had his medical in.

A picture has been doing the rounds on social media supposedly showing the England international heading into a hospital to undergo a medical, and even the Manchester Evening News and the Birmingham Mail are reporting that the deal could still go ahead.

Speculation intensified last week suggesting that he was on his way to the Etihad (via The Guardian) only for the player himself to rule the move out via the club’s official website just 24 hours later.

Since then all has been quite, while City have spent £49m on Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling (via BBC).

However, using the evidence in the picture below, the reports are being based on a grainy camera phone shot taken from some distance away. As yet, neither club have commented, despite the media going into overdrive, but it is surely a risky tactic to keep quiet if nothing is happening.

It would represent a dramatic U-turn from the former Leeds man when he had so publicly denied that he would be leaving.
