Manchester United’s first home shirt made by Adidas has been accidentally put on sale in America, one week before the Premier League side officially launch the strip.
According to the Daily
The world record partnership will see Louis van Gaal’s side earn £750m over ten years, which is twice what Spanish giants Real Madrid earn from the German sportswear manufacturer (via Daily Mail).
The shirt itself evokes memories of the kit worn during the victorious FA Cup run of 1990. The shirt features white stripes around the shoulder, and a V-neck.
That cup run 25 years ago led to the first trophy of Sir Alex Ferguson’s time in charge of the Red Devils, and van Gaal will be hoping that this new strip can inspire the side to the first piece of silverware of his tenure.
